time, the sausages were cooked to perfection and we gave the Fire Brigade a big surprise!
For those who were not there, Lilydale Fire Service celebrated 50 years of service to our Community last year, and we thought they deserved a big pat on the back.  So, Bob Richman penned a song for them which the Choir delivered with gusto, we supplied a 50th Birthday Cake, and a card to be signed by the
gathering.  All at the Carols showed their appreciation of the Brigade and their work for the Lilydale
Community.   We then got them to work cooking the sausages!!!! (As you do).

Thanks to the Progress Association for the bread,
cordial, sauce.  TRA - sausages, onions, cake.  Valley Voices Choir for their many hours of preparation and performance on the night, Fire Brigade for cooking the BBQ, and the Community for their support.

The mural at the School is finished, on time and on budget.  Thanks to Elizabeth Stanfield for the
Certificates of Appreciation presented to TRA at the School Assembly.   We were pleased to be able to
assist with this project.

2004 - The first item on the agenda for 2004, is the
Annual General Meeting which is held on Wednesday January 28th at 7.30 p.m. at Jillian Westons home, Golconda Road, Lilydale.   TRA's financial year is December, and the Organisations AGM is early March, so unfortunately we have to have our AGM in January which is a really bad time.
A 'heads up' for all Community groups, it looks like that old favourite, "public liability insurance" is doing its best to make life difficult once again.  Check your
premiums when you get your accounts, the 'pl' part of your cover is probably much higher than last time.  TRA has had a huge rise in premium this year despite not having any claims whatsoever.     Where is this
going to end?  If your premium does increase,
remember that you can apply for the difference
between last years 'pl' and this years.  Check out the Tasmanian Government web site for information.
During December we were offered a performance tour for March.  We don't take many performances, picking and choosing carefully as to what we think will be
attractive to the Lilydale Community.  This one we thought was really worth taking.  So we hope that it will take your interest.   It is called
"Ironing out the Wrinkles" and we will have more about it in the next Progressive.
Like all Organisations we are always looking for new Members.   Have you recently moved into our
Community?  Interested in joining?  Contact Frea
Peschar on 63 95 1368 for more information.

Have a great 2004.
Carol
