Mary Walsh Centre News

In December, as is usual, we had our Christmas
Dinner; which was on Tuesday the Seventeenth, when we were visited by our friend Santa who distributed presents to all of us.  The presents had been wisely chosen for each person and were very acceptable.

On the following Thursday a morning tea was held, when friends of the Day Care were invited to join us and Committee members also attended which was nice.  After a break we again came back on December 31st, and thus we started another year at the Centre with Joan and Glenys and our cook in attendance.

This year we may not have so many clients on
Thursdays, but we do extend a welcome to all who can come along and join us, whether they are interested in craft of any kind, or Community singing, or playing fames, or doing quizzes and having a real fun time together.  Our drivers are always willing to pick up any who need transport to the Centre.

On Thursday 16th January, our driver took some of our people for a drive and ended up going to the Cherry Farm at Underwood where some lovely cherries were purchased and shared around afterwards for a small fee for each person to cover the costs.  The cherries were lovely and sweet.

Darian, our Co-ordinator will be back with us on
Tuesday 21st, probably with some well thought out quizzes to drive out the rust from our brains once again.

Our request programme goes to air February 15th.
