Mt Arthur Centre News

Dear All,
We have had a very busy year at the Centre and would like to thank everyone who has contributed in anyway to it's ongoing development. The Centre will be closed throughout January but if you would like to make a booking for it's use in that time, please contact us asap. We will
re-open in the first week of February 2004.
If anyone has a few spare hours to help three Greening Australia members make the stream at the Centre more user friendly on the 4th and 5th of Dec. please let us know. The main job will be the clearing of
blackberry's.
Our last fundraising event for the year will be on Saturday 13th Dec. 8pm. The cost is $10.00 pp and supper will be provided. The Kepler Ensemble will be performing again for us with a musical feast of
European and English Christmas Carols with a selection from Corelli, J.S. Bach, Haydn, List, Saint-Seans and Scott Joplin. We really do appreciate the way these
talented musicians have helped raise money for our straw bale room project. Please come along and get into the 'Spirit of Christmas' with them and us on the 13th.
Don't forget the regular Tuesday morning
yoga classes with Carol-Anne from the Launceston Yoga Centre from 10am till 11.30am. Cost is $10.00 per
session.
I hope you have a very happy and safe Christmas and I wish you all the best for 2004.

Lilydale Retirement Units

At our November Members meeting, it was resolved by special resolution that the name of the Organisation be changed from Lilydale Retirement Homes and Day Care Incorporated to the Lilydale Retirement Units Incorporated.   The necessary paperwork to put this in train is now being addressed.
Mr. Todd Wilkin is currently working on a design
concept for the new block, which when complete will give us an idea as to how we can place the new units with the best aspect, size and position.
This is a starting point, it is the old chicken and egg problem, we can't start making submissions until we have design, plans, budgets etc in place.  Frustrating isn't it!
We currently have a vacancy on the Board of
Management, if you are interested in filling this position we would be pleased to hear from you.  Please contact Carol Charlton on 63 95 1263.
We are looking forward to the break over the
Christmas/New Year period, and to come back fresh, with great new ideas and continued enthusiasm.
I would like to thank the Board Members for their
continued commitment over the past year, their work on their particular areas of expertise on the Board which has resulted in quick, positive responses to
queries, requests and maintenance.
