A message from the Acting Principal Rose Parker
Another school year is nearly at an end and I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the staff at Lilydale District School, to wish you all a happy festive season and a wonderful New Year.
My job this year as Acting Principal has certainly been an eye opener in more ways than one! I learnt things I didn't know, things I didn't think I needed to know, things I'll probably never need to know again and things I'd rather forget… I will however, be returning to my Assistant Principal's role in 2004 and am looking forward to having my own classes again.
In my five years at Lilydale I have become extremely fond of the students at your school. They are friendly, trustworthy and generally well behaved. They have always made me feel welcome and that what I do is worthwhile.
The staff has been wonderful and you can rest assured that the students in this community have been in good hands. I cannot remember working with a more professional and dedicated group in my 20+ years of teaching. Helen French will return next year as Principal and she should be delighted with the teachers and support staff she will be working with.
Once again, have a wonderful summer and I look forward to working with many of you, and your children, next year .
