Australia: Botanical inventory of Merthyr Park flora 1998,
education workshops for members and community, plant identification,
seed collection, plant propagation, education about plant communities |

Tamar
Region Natural Resource Management Strategy: Apart from
achieving recognition of our major project as a Demonstration
Site, members of the group have contributed to Tamar Region
Natural Resource Management Strategy Working Groups - especially
Biodiversity and Loss of Native Vegetation Groups, and Air
Quality and Water. The group also contributed to the Pipers
River Catchment Management Strategy.

City Council: Parks and Recreation Department, Mayor, Alderman
and officers: Alderman have attended our General Meetings, the
Mayor has attended our Ragwort Rage operation (organised in
conjunction with our Local Fire Brigade), Mayor and Alderman
offer continuing support and encouragement to the group, officers
have recognised the group as an instrument in shaping a wholesome
and vigorous local community. |
